Capneteq is a free directory service that helps you discover scientific equipment at research facilities across the country. Important: We do not process bookings, payments, or act as an intermediary. All arrangements are made directly between users and facilities.

- Email Address: For account authentication and important communications
This information is used solely to provide you with account features like saving favorites and managing your preferences.
Location Data (Optional)
Location services are completely optional
If you enable location services, we use your approximate location to show nearby facilities. This data is:
- Only collected when you're actively searching
- Not tracked in the background
- Not stored permanently or shared
- Can be disabled anytime in your device settings
Usage Information
We collect basic analytics about how the app is used to improve our service:

- Equipment viewed and saved

Data Security

When you contact a facility through Capneteq, you are interacting directly with that facility. Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.

Capneteq is based in the United States. If you are accessing our app from outside the U.S., please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using Capneteq, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your country of residence, which may have different data protection rules.
