Whole Slide Scanning Microscopes

The facility houses 2 Olympus VS200 slide scanners that has been specifically designed for high throughput facilities that require fast scanning speed and high image resolution. The VS200s have a Slide System that holds 6 slides/plate. One of our scanners can scan 210 slides (35 plates) at a time. The other system is configured to scan up to 6 slides (1 plate) but has a 60x oil 1.4NA high resolution objective. The scanner is a quicker and easier solution to scan large areas, archive slides and produce permanent records. Imager can scan in 10x, 20x, and 40x and 60x. The systems have 2 cameras to collect Histolo or Immuno staining. Both systems have an cMOS monochrome (16 bit) camera for fluorescence (DAPI, Alexa 488, Alexa 560, Alexa 640 and CFP, YFP, mCherry, and Alexa 750) and as well as H&E histology sections.
