Yarn Twister, DirecTwist, 2C6/D6 Hybrid

The DirecTwist 2C6D6 is a hybrid twisting machine composed of both 2C6 and 2D6 components to accommodate a wide variety of fiber materials. This machine enables the possibility to twist fibers with varying material composition and thicknesses. Each fiber has their own yarn sensor to immediately detect any breaks to minimize production loss. There are different threading configurations on the machine to either cable or cover the fibers together. The 2C6 side is ideal for twisting any textile yarns at up to 14,000 twists per minute and 1,500 twists per meter. In respect to the 2D6 side, materials such as metal wires, carbon fiber, and glass fiber can be processed at up to 8,500 twists per minute and 1,700 twists per meter. The 2D6 employs servo-feeders to automatically feed the fibers into the twisting apparatus. The take-up speed for both 2C6 and 2D6 is up to 200 meters per minute.
