TA Instruments Q400 Thermomechanical Analyzer
TA Instruments Q400 (2025)
Analytical instrument used to measure sample dimensional changes under four experimentally controlled variables: temperature, force, time, and atmosphere. Sample forms include solids, films, fibers and powders for testing. Maximum heating rate is 200°C/min within the temperature range from -150°C to 1000°C. Consists of an interchangeable probe for measuring variables such as melting point, softening point, tensile modulus, compression modulus, glass transition, stress relaxation, creep, and thermal expansion coefficient. Equipped with TA Instruments Mechanical Cooling Accessory (MC70A) for experiments requiring cooling (-70°C to 400°C). Sample base is 14 mm diameter, probe is 6 mm diameter, maximum recommended diameter 10 mm. Allow 1 hour for training.
