We are excited to have our newest instrument (installed March 2025) in the core, the Bruker TruLive 3D Imager, a dual-sided illumination lightsheet microscope for fast 3D multi-sample sensitive imaging of delicate live specimens. Please remember you must Acknowledge the NIH S10 grant that brought us this instrument! Many faculty contributed to this grant spearheaded by Dr. Lin He, Hernan Garcia, and Ian Swinburne. 3PO is particularly useful for small embryos, organoids, and 3D spheroids. This lightsheet has 2 cameras for simultaneous 2-color acquisition. There is a single 25x/1.1 NA objective with optical zooms allowing total magnification of 12.5x, 25x, or 50x. There are 6 imaging lasers: 445nm, 488nm, 515nm, 561nm, 642nm, and 685nm. There are 2 lasers for photomanipulation: 405nm and pulsed 532nm. This system is for water-based samples only. Samples are mounted in a unique trough (see pics below). There is heating and gas control – CO2 as well as Nitrogen for oxygen-deprivation studies. This system is set up for long-term imaging with very little light exposure. Cancer Research Laboratory 449 Life Sciences Addition University of California, Berkeley Berkeley, CA 94720
