The Cytation™3 from BioTek combines microplate detection and automated digital microscopy capabilities. As a plate reader, the Cytation3 provides fluorescence, absorbance, luminescence analyses and spectral scans in a 6-384 wells microplate format. Complementary accessories include a plate washer and TAKE3 plate, which enables 2 µL quantification of nucleic acids and proteins. As an imager, the Cytation3 allows for time-lapse imaging, automatic cell counting and subpopulation analyses and is capable of autofocus and auto exposure. The system is equipped with CO2/O2 gas control, 2.5x, 20x and 40x magnification objectives, temperature control up to 45° C, Shaker, 16 bit CCD camera, DAPI, Texas Red, GFP filters and LED cubes.
